Directions
1.
Cut one inch slices from the top and bottom of the plantain, discard.
2.
Make a slit along the length of the plantain so it just cuts the skin.

Slice the plantain into 1/8 inch thick diagonal slices.
5.
Prepare a serving plate with paper towels.
6.
Add the oil to a large wide saucepan.

Carefully add the plantain slices into the oil, do this slowly so you do not burn yourself.
9.
You can slide them in with a frying sieve.
10.
Fry until slices are a golden brown.
11.
Take the slices and place them on the plate with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
12.
Put on a serving plate and enjoy.
