Description:

This was the first dish I cooked for my husbands family, and it turned out wonderfully, despite the fact that I was cooking on an electric range for the first time! I like it with sauerkraut, of course.

Prep:

prep 15 minutes, cook 60 minutes

Ingredients

pork chops, 1 -1 1/2'' thick
2
tsp vegtable oil, heated in skillet
2
cups apple juice
1/3
cup german mustard (sometimes I just use spicy mustard in my cabinet)
2-3
apples, peeled cored and sliced thick
1/3
cup raisins (optional!)
2TBSP corn starch
2TBSP + of water

Directions

1.
-brown pork chips over med. high heat in oil. season to taste with salt and pepper.
2.
-combine apple juice and mustard and pour over pork chops. make sure to flip chops so they're covered on all sides with sauce! cover and cook 45 minutes over medium heat
3.
-mix in apples and raisins. cover for another 5 - 10 minutes.
4.
- remove pork chops and apples, but keep warm!
5.
- mix cornstarch and water into leftover liquid, and cook until thickened. serve over pork chops!
