Ingredients

1
cup of rice
2
cups of water
1
spring onion (cebolleta,cebollin, ciboulette,de verdeo o junca)
1
tbsp of oil (optional)
salt

Directions

1.
You will need a heavy and deep pot (like to hold 4 cups of water) with a lid.
2.
put the 2 cups of water in the pot,
3.
cut the onion of the size one inch.
4.
add to the water and add salt.
5.
Taste the water to get the idea of how salty it will be. Add the tablespoon of oil if you want.
6.
Add the rice.
7.
(I prefer to rinse the rice before, its optional)
8.
Now, set the fire at half to low (not the lowest) keep the pot open. Let it cook until the water gets to level of the rice. making little bubbles on the rice. Now put the lid over the pot. Lower the heat. And let it cook for other 20-30 minutes.
