Soak Rice and Urad dhal for 6 hours seperately. Grind rice and then grind urad dhal make it smooth. Add water when you grind, remember that don't add too much of water for grinding because you will not get smooth paste. Mix all grinded items to gether add salt and keep it for full night for fermentation. Next day morning pour 2 cups of water in the cooker see that the paste you have made is medium thick and pour it in to the plates called IDLI plates keep it in the cooker close it and wait for 8 minutes. IDLI is ready to eat.
