Baked Oyster with Garlic for Valentine

Description:

Oysters were documented as an aphrodisiac food by the Romans in the second century A.D. He described the wanton ways of women after ingesting wine and eating "giant oysters". Having garlic as one of the ingredients of this recipe makes this a double aphrodisiac.

Ingredients

fresh oysters, shucked and rinsed well
3
tbsp butter and 1 tbsp for greasing the casserole dish
1
clove garlic, minced
1-2
tbsp freshly grated parmesan cheese
1/2
cup dry breadcrumbs
2
tsp chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
2.
Butter a small casserole dish, or for individual servings use ramekin dishes. Set aside.
3.
Melt the butter in a small skillet.
4.
Add breadcrumbs and garlic.
5.
Saute over medium heat until mixture is golden and slightly crumbly.
6.
Remove from heat and add parsley.
7.
Spoon mixture over oysters and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
8.
Bake oysters in the preheated oven until it pops and lightly browned, about 15-20 minutes.
9.
Serve warm.
