Ingredients

c. melted shortening (butter is best)

c. walnuts or pecans (optional)
Directions

Mash bananas and sift flour. Add the ingredients in order (except nuts) and mix until well blended. Fold in nuts. Bake in loaf pan for 50 minutes at 350 degrees F.

After it bakes, I allow my bread to sit in the cooling oven to make sure all batter is cooked through.
