Description:

This is a great way to use leftover rice! The bacon salt gives it such an earthy, smokey flavor! The petit peas add a nice fresh touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

Tbls. olive oil
2
cups cooked brown rice
1
cup frozen petit peas
1
small onion - chopped
2
large cloves garlic - minced
1
tsp. bacon salt
salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1.
Heat olive oil in a large non stick skillet over med/high heat. Add onions, garlic and bacon salt. Saute til onions are well browned.
2.
Then add frozen peas and saute a few minutes til thawed.
3.
Lower heat to the low setting and add cooked rice. Stir often and taste.
4.
Season with salt and pepper as needed.
5.
Serve warm.
