tsp. grated orange peel
Divide mixture in small cups and add a different food coloring to each cup. Paint cookie with thin brush. If "paint" thickens, add a few drops of water.
Directions

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar, orange peel and vanilla. Add egg; beat until fluffy. Stir in milk and dry ingredients. On floured surface roll half of dough 1/8 inch thick. Cut in shapes using Chanukah Cookie Cutters. Add "Sprinkles" or Egg Yolk Paint. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375 degrees 6 to 8 minutes. Makes 2 dozen cookies.
