cups cabernet sauvignon
juice of a half of a lemon
Directions

Peel the pears but leave the stem.
2.
Mix the wine, water, lemon and cinnamon sticks.
3.
Poach the pears in the wine mixture.
4.
Remove the pears from the wine and set aside.
5.
Remove the cinnamon from the wine mixture and add sugar (play with the quantities according to how sweet you like them).
6.
Put it back in the heat and reduce the wine by half.
7.
Serve the pears and drizzle with the reduced wine mixture.
