cups Carrots (peeled, chopped)

cup Potatoes (peeled, chopped)

oz. can vegetable broth

Prepare vegetables and simmer in large pot together (carrots, onions, potatoes) with vegetable broth, bay leaf and butter for 45 minutes on medium heat, until vegetables are cooked well. Pour contents into a blender and puree' the mixture. Make sure it is smooth. Pour back into large pot and continue to stir on heat while adding milk. Mix until well blended, add salt and white pepper to taste. Serve. Really good with sourdough bread.
