Ingredients

3
cups large peeled and deveined shrimp
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup half-and-half or milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
oil for deep frying

Directions

1.
Mix Shrimp with 1 ½ tsp.salt and ¼ tsp. Pepper and let them in room temperature for about 10 – 15 min
2.
Add egg, cream, cormeal, flour baking powder and ¼ tsp salt together and mix it
3.
Heat oil in deep fryer to 350 degree
4.
Put shrimp in the mixture until they are well coated
5.
Put shrimp in hot fat in batches and fry until shrimp are light golden brown (for about 2 – 4 minutes)
