cup light brown sugar, firmly packed

cup oats (old fashion or quick cook), uncooked

3/4 cups M&M semi sweet baking bits

cup toasted rice cereal

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Blend flour mixture into creamed mixture. Gently stir in M&M baking bits, cereal, coconut, and pecans. Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto an un-greased baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 10-12 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
