ounce can cream cheese cake frosting

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease and lightly flour the bottom of a 13x9 cake pan. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each one.

In a bowl, combine pumpkin and buttermilk. In another bowl, combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Alternatively add the pumpkin mixture and the flour mixture to the creamed butter. Mix thoroughly after each one is added.

Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for 35 minutes or until the cake tests done. Let cool completely before icing the cake with the cream cheese frosting.
