Directions

Beat the egg whites in a bowl until stiff. Sieve the powder sugar and add a little at a time and beat well. Lastly add the lemon juice and beat the mixture until smooth and glossy.

Put the egg white mixture in a piping bag with a star nozzle.Pipe out outline shapes of stars, hearts, trees or other forms onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with silver balls.

Bake in a preheated oven 100 degrees C for about 2 hours. They should actually dry out rather than bake.
4.
Leave them to cool a little before removing from baking tray.
5.
Use some colored cord and hang your German Christmas cookies on the Christmas tree.
