Description:

A fun cookie to make with kids. Bonus-if you're on a diet, don't eat the cookies, just let 'em dry and use them as tree ornaments.

Ingredients

1/2
cup unsalted butter
3
cups of marshmallows
1
tsp green food coloring
1tsp vanilla extract
4
cups of corn flake cereal
1
small box of red hot cinnamon candies

Directions

1.
Lightly oil a small saucepan.
2.
Over low heat melt the butter. Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir until the mix is smooth.
3.
Remove the butter/marshmallow mix from the heat and mix in the vanilla and food coloring. Add the cornflakes.
4.
Keep this mix warm while you work, it'll be easier to handle. Place the saucepan of cookie mix inside a larger pot filled with an inch or two of hot tap water. (Like a double boiler)
5.
Grease your fingers and work quickly- drop a small mound of the mix onto wax paper. Using your fingers or a spoon, quickly form wreaths, including a hole in the center.
6.
While the cookies are still sticky, add the red candies as decoration.
7.
After the cookies set you can keep them stored and covered for about three weeks.
