Description:

Ate this a lo as a little kid. Great for protein.

overnight for soaking and 30 minutes

Ingredients

1/2
cup of garbanzo beans
3
carrots
3
cups of rice
8
cups of chicken stock
2
lemons

Directions

1.
Soak the garbanzos overnight in water.
2.
Wash the rice.
3.
Bring the chicken stock to a boil and add the garbanzos - keep an eye of them. It is a good idea to keep warm water around just in case the stock boils out.
4.
When the garbanzos are tender, lower the flame and add the carrots and rice.
5.
Serve warm with lemon slices.
