Crock Pot Spaghetti Sauce

Description:

This delicious tomato sauce is made for Spaghetti, but can be used in any Italian dish. Best made in a crock pot, but a large pot will work too. Also, the longer you let it simmer, the better it will be! I try to simmer mine for at least 12 hours.

Ingredients

lbs Italian Sausage

lbs Ground Beef

oz. Canned Tomatoes (crushed)

oz. Tomato Paste

or 2 Medium Onions, chopped

Large Green Pepper, chopped
2-3
Bay Leaves
3
Cloves Garlic, crushed
2
tsp Oregano
1
tsp Black Pepper
2
tsp. Salt
1
tsp. Basil
1/4
tsp Red Pepper
dash Thyme

Directions

1.
Brown the sausage, and set aside to drain on paper towels. Brown the beef with the onions and green pepper, drain. Place the sausage and beef mixture in your crock pot, add the tomatoes and tomato paste. Add all remaining spices and mix well. Put on low heat and cook gently for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve with pasta and sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, don't forget to remove the bay leaf!
