Cucumber and Carrot Maki Sushi
Great even if you don't like seafood and cheap to make.

Ingredients
Cooking Instructions
| 1 | carrot |
| 1 | cucumber |
| 3 | Tbsp sake or white wine |
| 1/2 | tsp sugar |
| 1/4 | tsp salt |
| 2 | nori sheets cut in half |
| 2 | 2/3 cup of ready made sushi rice |
| wasabi paste | |
| soy sauce | |
| ginger |
Cooking Instructions
| Step 1 | Make the sushi rice according to instructions. |
| Step 2 | Let the rice come to room temperature. |
| Step 3 | Peel the carrot. |
| Step 4 | Cut the carrot into matchstick like strips. |
| Step 5 | Wash and peel the cucumber. |
| Step 6 | Cut the cucumber into thin strips. |
| Step 7 | Bring 2 Tbsp of water, sugar, sake and salt to a boil. |
| Step 8 | Add the carrots, lower the heat, cover and cook for a minute. |
| Step 9 | Remove it from heat. |
| Step 10 | Add the cucumber. |
| Step 11 | Let cool in the sake mixture. |
| Step 12 | When cool, remove the carrots and cucumber and dry with paper towel. |
| Step 13 | Put plastic wrap over your rolling mat. |
| Step 14 | Add a little vinegar to the mat. |
| Step 15 | Put a little vinegar on your hands so the rice does not stick to your hands. |
| Step 16 | Put the nori on the mat with plastic wrap. |
| Step 17 | With your fingers spread the rice evenly on the nori. |
| Step 18 | On one side of the rice, spread the veggies. |
| Step 19 | Roll. |
