Ingredients

100
grams grated coconut (dry)
100
grams sugar and a bit extra
egg yolks, as needed (2 to 3)

Directions

1.
Mix 100 grams grated coconut (dry) with 100 grams sugar. Add egg yolks slowly while you mix everything with your hands, until you get a compact dough (should have the consistance of marzipan). Generally, 2 yolks should make it, but depending on the egg size and/or the coconut absorbing power you might need a bit more.

Take walnut-sized bits of the dough, give them a ball form and then roll them on sugar. Pinch each ball with your fingers so it takes a cone shape.
3.
Place the cones on a buttered tin and bake at 225ºC until the point is brown and they are dry outside but still moist inside. Delicious.
