Ingredients

sticks Butter

ounces SourCream

cup Almond Paste

large Eggs

cups Sugar
1/4
tsp Baking Soda
1/4
tsp Baking Powder
1/4
tsp Salt
3
tsp Almond Extract
3
cups All-purpose Flour, sifted twice before measuring

Directions

1.
Have first four ingredients at room temperature before starting to mix. Cream butter, sugar and almond paste. Add eggs one at a time until blended. Add sour cream. Add twice sifted flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Reduce mixer speed and add almond extract. Use one 12-cup or two 6-cup bundt pans. Prepare pans with Baker's Joy (or butter and flour). Cook large cakes in a 300-degree oven for 1 1/2 hours. Cook smaller cakes for approximately an hour.
