Boil the potatoes (with the skin) for about 30 minutes (until they are soft).

Carefully peel the potatoes and mash with butter with a fork.

Add as much milk as you like (until it reaches your preferred consistency).

If desired you can add garlic, chives, saffron, cheese, etc...

Shape 1/8 cup of mashed potatoes into what looks like a hamburger patty (about 1/2 inch thick).

Melt butter in a frying pan and fry the patties on each side for about 2.5 minutes (until they are golden).
