Miso Soup with Tofu

Description:

You will need dashi soup stock for this. Here is that recipe: 4 cups of water 8 inch by 2 inch kombu dried kelp Wipe the kombu with clean cloth. *Kombu shouldn't be washed. Put water in a deep pot and soak the kombu for about 30 minutes. Put on low heat. Just before the water comes to a boil, remove the kombu.

Ingredients

cups dashi soup stock
1
block tofu
3-4
tbsps miso paste
1/4
cup chopped green onion

Directions

1.
Put dashi soup stock in a pan and bring to a boil.
2.
Cut tofu into small cubes and add them to the soup.
3.
Simmer the tofu for a few minutes on low heat.
4.
Scoop out some soup stock from the pan and dissolve miso in it.
5.
Gradually return the miso mixture in the soup.
6.
Stir the soup gently.
7.
Stop the heat and add chopped green onion.
8.
Remember not to boil the soup after you put miso in.
