pound orecchiette pasta
1
pound Italian-style sausage, casings removed
Pinch dried crushed red pepper flakes
Directions

In a saucepan, prepare the pasta according to instructions.

Heat oil in a heavy large skillet over medium heat.
3.
Add the sausage and cook.
4.
While cooking break it up into pieces.
5.
When browned and juices form (should take 10-12 minutes) add the garlic and red pepper flakes.
6.
Sautee the mixture for 2 minutes.
7.
Get fancy by adding cooked spinach, broccoli rabe and switching up the type of sausage. You can also add tomato sauce for more traditional flavors.
