(2) cloves of garlic, crushed

oz can of Crushed Tomatoes
Directions

Pour Olive Oil into the pan and saute crushed garlic for a minute on low heat. Add can of crushed tomatoes & cut up fresh basil. (I add a lot of basil. It is up to you) Season with dry herbs such as oregano and/or dry basil. Salt & Pepper to taste.

Let this cook on low heat for 30 minutes or more.

In another saucepan, melt stick of butter. Slowly add heavy cream, vodka and red pepper flakes and whisk them all together. Add red tomato paste and stir until completely blended. Cook for a few minutes.

Add creamy sauce to the red sauce and heat until flavors are blended.

Cook penne as directed on package. (If you are serving the pasta later on .. only cook the pasta 1/2 of time specified. This will allow the pasta to soak up the sauce and not get soggy)
6.
Pour sauce over the penne and serve.
