Description:

Flavorful pork roast with untraditional twist slow cooked to perfection. Great for cool fall weather or cold wintry nights.

Ingredients

3/4
C. unsweetened apple juice

T. Sugar
2
T. Soy or teriyaki sauce

T. Vinegar
1T. Powdered ginger
1/4
t. Powdered garlic
1/2
t. Powdered onion
1/8
t. Ground black pepper
1
Boneless pork loin roast (approx. 3 pounds), cut in half
7.5
t. Cornstarch
3
T. Water

Directions

Combine well in a bowl:

3/4 C. unsweetened apple juice
3.
2 T. Sugar
4.
2 T. Teriyaki or soy sauce
5.
1 T. Vinegar
6.
1 T. Powdered ginger
7.
1/4 t. Powdered garlic
8.
1/2 t. Powdered onion
9.
1/8 t. Ground black pepper
10.
Add roast and coat evenly.
11.
Grease slow cooker and place coated roast and leftover ingredients from bowl into cooker.
12.
Cover, cook on low for 8 hours or until a meat thermometer inserted into roast reads 160 degrees F.
13.
After done, remove roast and cover to keep warm.
14.
In a saucepan combine 7.5 t. cornstarch and 3 T. water until smooth. Stir in juices from slow cooker. Bring to a gentle boil and stir constantly until thickened.
15.
Serve over roast
