1/2 cup thinly sliced green onions

3 tbsp red wine vinegar

1 1/2 tsp prepared mustard

Directions

Stir 1/4 cup of sugar with the pecans in a skillet until sugar has melted an caramelized the pecans. After that, put the nuts onto waxed paper and let it cool. The dressing will be made by blending oil, vinegar, mustard, garlic, 1 1/2 teaspoons of sugar and salt and pepper.

Layer lettuce with blue cheese,avocado,pears and the onions in a large bowl and pour the dressing over the salad. You can sprinkle with pecans.
