Description:

Simple apple dessert. I love this in the fall as a throw-together dessert. I normally have all of the ingredients on hand. This is really great served hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.

Ingredients

4
apples (whichever you like best) peeled, cored and cut in half
1
box prepared pie crust rolls
4
tbsp butter (divided into 4 sections)
4
tsp sugar (divided 4 ways)
Cinnimon sprinkled to taste
eggwash (1 eggwhite mixed with a splash of water)

Directions

1.
preheat oven to 350
2.
Leave pie crust rolls at room temp for about an hour then unroll and cut in half.
3.
Put pat of butter on apple half and cover with the other half. Place apple on 1/2 pie crust and sprinkle with 1/4 of the sugar and spinkle with a generous amount of cinnamon. Wrap crust around apple and seal so nothing leaks out while baking. Place in a greased pie pan. Repeat with other 3 apples then brush with eggwash. Bake for about 40 minutes until apples begin to ooze. Serve hot or warm.
