Sous Vide Steak Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing

Ingredients

For the Sous Vide Steak
1
lb strip steak
1/8
tsp thyme powder
1/3
tsp garlic powder
salt and pepper
For the Salad
1/2
of a red peppers, diced
4
baby bella or white button mushrooms, sliced
1/2
tomato, diced
Mixed greens or the lettuce of your choice
For the Honey Mustard Dressing
3
tbsp mayonnaise
1
tbsp dijon mustard
1
tbsp honey
Olive oil
Salt and pepper

Directions

1.
Pre-heat the water bath to 131°F.
2.
Trim off excess fat from the meat.
3.
Dust the steak with the garlic powder and thyme powder.
4.
Salt and pepper the meat then vacuum seal it and place in the water bath. Let it cook for around 2 hours.
5.
Assemble the salad by placing all the ingredients into a bowl or on a plate.
6.
Whisk together the mayonnaise, dijon mustard and honey to make the dressing.
7.
Whisk with olive oil according to your taste.
8.
You can also add more honey or dijon to the way you like your honey mustard dressing to be.
9.
Remove the steak from the sous vide pouch and slice into short strips.
10.
Drizzle the honey mustard dressing on the salad and add the strips of the sous vide strip steak to it.
11.
Lightly sprinkle the salad with salt and pepper.
