Ingredients

Whole fully cooked ham
1/4
cup whole cloves
1/2
cup dark corn syrup
1-1/2
cups honey
2/3
cup butter
1/3
cup brown sugar
1/4
cup orange juice
1/8
tsp. white pepper
1
Roasting pan (lined with foil)
Double broiler

Directions

1.
Preheat your oven to 325 F.
2.
Place ham cut side down in roasting pan.
3.
Cut a diamond pattern into the top of the ham.
4.
Place the whole cloves in the scored intersections.
5.
Mix (but do not boil) the syrup, honey, butter, brown sugar, orange juice, and pepper in the top half of a double boiler.
6.
Heat and stir the mixture until the butter has melted and the glaze is smooth.
7.
Keep it warm while cooking the ham.
8.
Put the glaze on the ham and cover with foil.
9.
Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325 F and baste every 10 minutes with glaze.
10.
Remove the foil when you have 5 minutes left of baking.
11.
Turn on the broiler.
12.
Keep a look out on the ham so the glaze just caramelizes.
13.
Take the ham out of the oven, cover with aluminum foil and allow to cool for a few minutes.
