½ cup mixture of bacon fat and butter or margerine

cloves garlic, or 1 tbsp garlic salt
pepper flakes if you so desire, and I think you do

Boil pasta as directed on package.

Cut uncooked bacon into 1 in pieces and fry. Put aside. Make a roux by heating the bacon fat and butter mixture, and cooking the garlic, salt and pepper until garlic is tender. Blend in flour. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is bubbly and smooth; remove from heat. Stir in the milk. Heat until it boils, while stirring constantly. Boil and stir for one minute, then remove from heat. Stir in the cheese and keep stirring until itâs melted. Stir in the bacon and frozen broccoli. Stir in the cooked pasta, the transfer to an ungreased casserole dish. Cook uncovered for 30 minutes at 375 degrees.
