Cook 1 cup of lentils and a pinch turmeric in 2 cups of water in either an open container for 15 -20 minutes, or in a pressure cooker for 6-7 minutes.

Squeeze lemon juice (optional)

Add a small quantity of fried chopper onion (optional)
