Eddie Merlot's has quickly become my favorite restaurant. It's located in front of the new Hilton Hotel, by the Polaris Mall. We initially visited the establishment to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday and the dinner definitely made my mother's special day an event to remember. The restaurant is less than a year old and has wonderful tall ceilings with a soft modern decor. The service is wonderful. The complimentary valet staff is fast and efficient. Vittorio, the General Manager is out on the dining room floor, engaging with customers and making sure that everything is top notch, and it is. I have been back two additional times and everything just seems to get better and better. I prefer grilled steaks, as opposed to broiled and their filets are delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. I prefer the mashed potatoes over the cheesey potatoes, as the cheesey potatoes have a little kick that isn't quite to my tasting. Their cheesecake is to die for! The 8 ounce filet is $35. Additional items are ordered ala carte and are approximately $8 each. The restaurant often runs specials. During our second visit, we enjoyed a full course filet dinner for just $30. The restaurant is normally just open for dinner, but is currently offereing lunch fare during midday hours over the holidays. Join the Platinum club. There is no cost and it is a reward program that helps you to accumulate points for dinner or other rewards. Platinum club members also receive a complimentary birthday filet or lobster tail. During 2008 holiday season, they're running special on their gift cards. If you purchase $100 in cards, you recieve a $25 complimentary card.
