I remember growing up and spending summers with my grandmother and being at her elbow in the kitchen nose-deep in pastry dough. I remember being her "little helper" during her cooking classes and peeling hundreds of pounds of onions. Most all of my childhood memories of summer are those that I spent with my grandmother and I can proudly say she is the one who gave me a love for cooking. Today as a wife and homemaker, I find my thirst for good food has not diminished, and you will often find me in my kitchen on a Saturday night preparing for Sunday's after-church dinner. Eat and be merry is the philosophy where I come from, and what I bring to my home.
