Lemme
Lemme start with the starters.
Any of the wet chicken starters (not the wings-didn't try those) is good enough. They are not too spicy to make you cry or have a running nose, nor are they too mild to make you feel cheated. Not recommended is the vegetarian starter which is full of onions and results in bad breath afterwards. Overall, the starters are so nice that you might as well have them as your main course.
For the main meal, be sure to order the chapati. Nothing special about the taste, but the softness and non dustry nature like other chapatis, makes it easy to handle. The green mutton curry is nice according to my friends, but the ones I would really recommend is the Indian Cheese Curry (I don't know the name on the menu, but the waiter is very friendly and will be sure to guide you). It has those tofu like things but which are made from milk, not soya bean. Also recommended is the popular chicken masala, exquisitely cooked with the right amount of spices.
One unfortunate thing though, the drinks leave much to be desired. The fruit punch made me feel like punching the person who made it. The sweet lassi...well too sweet and not that "lassi-y". I had much better lassi at a cheaper place near Mustafa Center. Overall, I would recommend this to any lover of North Indian food. If you have previously been disappointed by Indian food, Banana Leaf Apolo might be just the right place to change your mind!
