 Cozy Little Place with Very Good New Mexican Cuisine 

Andele Restaurant is on the edge of historic Old Mesilla on the southwest side of Las Cruces. It is small and not the most posh place in the world but it is clean and the food is very good. Be warned, the lunchtime gets crowded. It is best to arrive prior to 11:15 or after 2:30. The service is generally good and the prices very reasonable. All the food served at Andele is above average to excellent. The chile sauces and chile con carne are among the best. The pork tacos al carbon are delicious as is the carne adovada. The combination plates with red or green chile are excellent. Some non-Mexican food is also served. Traditional Mexican cuisine like barbecoa, deshebrada, carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor are not served here; it is essentially a New Mexican restaurant. This restaurant in the Mexican food category currently ranks sixth in the area.
