User Reviews for Papermoon Diner

Overall Rating: 6 (Good)

The decor at this diner is off the wall, borderline disturbing. I heard that the owner is a graduate of MICA so I guess that explains it. The food is pretty good. I love the meatloaf and the sweet potato fries. The service can be hit or miss though, especially the waiting time for tables. On a couple of occasions I had to wait 30+ minutes even though there were several tables that were empty. It can get kinda crowded on weekends late night too. But all in all, a great place to grab a bite to eat no matter what time of day it is.

Papermoon's atmosphere is great. There are always a good bit of people here, I've never had to wait. The food is definitely overpriced and you can't split checks. I always get the muchroom quesadillas and they're awesome. It's open 24 hours. They also have a lot of vegetarian dishes.

When you first move to Baltimore you to go Paper Moon because you don't know any better. Eventually the overpriced food and terrible service aren't outshined by the gimmicky decor. Now that it's not officially a 24 hour restaurant anymore there's no reason to go there unless you're really desperate. If you want late night food you might have better luck at the Hopkins Uni Mini where at least you can get grape leaves or a falafel sandwich at half the price. The only thing that saves Paper Moon is their availability of healthy options, but for $10 you could buy the groceries to make that healthy meal 3 times over.
