I love Cafe Milano! I probably come here a couple times to week. It's only a block from campus, so it's a great place to grab food in between classes. The upper level is quieter and has a lot of seating if I choose to bring my laptop and study. Their coffee drinks are pretty good, but where Milano really shines is the salads. The greens and tomatoes are fresh and the feta cheese in the Greek salad is sooo good. The price is a little more than I like paying for a salad, but at Milano it's worth it.
Truly a ma-and-pa (actually, just ma) operation, Pizza on Broadway offers one of the few alternatives to the big pizza chains or pizza at convenience stores. The environment is quaint, with a bit of a 60's motif. Pizza is good. There is a salad bar, at least during peak periods. Prices are a little above the chain restaurants, but the environment and uniqueness of this restaurant more than compensate. Extremely friendly.
