La Burrita is a Mexican demi-fast food chain in the Berkeley area. Serving quick dishes of enchiladas and burritos, La Burrita is exactly the sort of chain Chipotle is made to topple. Their ingredients are kept in glutinous vats and piped or spooned sloppily into their rubbery tortillas. A definite miss on the Berkeley gastronomic tour.
La Burrita is just an average place in a college town. Their food is cheap, decent, but sometimes bland. I do like the salsa bar though, it seems like it's made fresh. The main draw to this place is that it's open until 2 AM, perfect for drunk students walking down from the frats. It's not really a sit-down type of restaurant, although there are some small tables inside. The location on Northside is bigger and I've heard the food is better quality as well.
