In general, I thought the food was good but left something to be inspired. There was nothing original about my meal that blew me away. Don't get my wrong, everything tasted very good, but I figured that I would get something phenomenal at such a high profile restaurant. Ceviche, crab cakes, smoked salmon pizza, and steak tartarre to start. The heirloom tomato salad with fresh burrata was probably my favorite part of the dinner, because I can never overdose on tomatoes. This was followed by ricotta gnocchi with a lamb ragu, which was actually really well done. The gnocchi were the perfect texture and not too solid. I went with the halibut for my entree but it was a little bit dry and nothing too exciting. The serving size for the short ribs was HUGE, and could have easily fed 3 people. That seemed a bit much. For desert we had a trio of a mini peach tart, chocolate souffle cake, and vanilla bean ice cream with strawberries.
