The Irish Lion is a unique little restaurant in Bloomington. The food is fabulous, and closer to being authentic than a lot of ethnic cuisine.
We took my in-laws there. At first they were frightened by the word "Pub" as they are teetotalers. Once they walked in, they thought it would be horribly expensive. There are items on the menu for which you will pay over $25.00, but you can also get a decent meal for under $10.00. They were pleasantly surprised. My husband and I have been here several times both before and after that particular trip.
The main problem I have with this restaurant is that there are stairs everywhere. I would not recommend it for anyone in a wheelchair, crutches, or in any way physically disabled. For everyone else, however, it's good food in a fun atmosphere at a decent price. It also has better service than many places in Bloomington.
I love the price and the amount you get for the price. It's always fast and the people that work there are friendly and talk pretty good english. My favorites are the mark pi's chicken and the pepper steak I also like the chicken broc. well to be honest with you I haven't tried any thing I didn't like from there.
