Pueblo Viejo is easily the best Mexican food in Cleveland. It doesn't pretend to be something that it isn't - from the tacky, but authentic, Mexican decorations, to the full bar that will mix your margarita on the rocks, with real fruit in it, to order. Favorites are the shrimp diablo - bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeno and white Mexican cheese, chunky avacado - huge chunks of avacado mixed with pico de gallo, charro beans - authentic slow cooked red beans with chunks of bacon, tomotoes, onions, and peppers, sirlion fajitas - yum. This isn't Hugo's - the napkins are paper and it doesn't have a wine list. It also isn't the slick presentation of Pappasito's - no upper middle class college students waiters. But it also doesn't have those prices and, frankly, the margaritas are better.
