Pho and I attracts a wide range of patrons from students and teens, to business associates, to couples on a date, to patrons visiting Symphony Hall down the street. The restaurant seems semi-trendy inside with the decor, even though the first room is a little small. It lets out into another room closer to the bar with a little more space.
Service is nothing special, but servers are all friendly enough. The wait times on crowded nights can be especially long though, so either go early or be prepared to wait with all the other eager patrons. Once you place your order, food comes out fairly quickly.
I don't think anything on the menu is more than about $15 or $16, but you can't really go wrong with ordering from this menu. Everything is delicious from what I've ordered on numerous occasions and what my friends have ordered. The curries, pho, and noodle dishes are all equally good!
The mango fried rice here is especially tasty and the flavors meld well together. Another good option is crispy noodle pad thai - a classic Thai favorite with a nice chicken addition.
As for lunch, the lunch menu allows you to pick your own meat and sauce which is served with rice and various vegetables. Some of the sauces are roasted chili, ginger and scallion, and yellow curry, and prices can range from $10-13 depending what meat you choose.
