I have been frequenting this restaurant quite often since I moved closer to it. There are other locations, but this one is by far the best.
When you first sit down, a busperson brings over a bowl of fresh pasta/bean salad with several sliced pickles for you to snack on.
I have tried several menu items and they are all excellent. The prices are extremely fair considering the portion size you are given. Tables are not too close together so you are not on top of other guests.
If you have children, there is a children's menu and children eat free with a paying adult. There are also coupons on the website for a free appetizer or dessert with 2 entrees being purchased. The service at this location is impeccable. The servers are always gracious and willing to accomodate requests.
There is a very nice bar at this location on one side of the restaurant.
Parking at this location is in a gravel lot and there are not a lot of spaces. There is also a nice indoor waiting area as well as an outdoor area during the nicer weather. There are a few shops that are in the same are in the same lot that you can go to while you wait to be seated. The average waiting time for dinner is 10-20 minutes. The dining experience is well worth the wait here.
This restaurant does not take reservations, but does book large groups.
This location is clean. It is located on a main road in Suffolk County, Long Island. Although the menu is folded paper, it includes appetizers, entrees, desserts, specials, sides dishes, and a lunch menu.
They also have a contest to see if you can eat a 76 oz. steak and a potato. If you can eat it all, it is free. They have a wall of fame and shame for winners and for patrons who have not been lucky enough to finish!
- Filet Mignon: delicious and tender. The marinade is amazing! ($14)
