Azucar stands for sugar. The restaurant and bakery sure does use a lot of it to make very tasty and sweet desserts. Luckily, the restaurant is just as good as the bakery. Azucar is "fine dining" when it comes to Cuban food in the area.
The owner is usually on hand. He oversees the restaurant carefully. As such, you will find a clean place and any of your needs taken care of. The food is a bit on the pricey side but well worth it.
I recommend that you order the plantain chips to start out with. They come with a great garlic sauce. You can also ask for fried onions to come on them. These are a delicious starter for you and your guests.
I also recommend that you order some merengues and Cuban coffee for dessert. The sugar and caffeine high will have you going for days.I Ate:
- Palomilla: scrumptious ($12)
