Can vegan food be vegan without mimicking carnivore cuisine? It's a fun trick to use gluten for fake corned beef, bacon and pork, but when your "chicken" wings look like Space food Sticks, you may be trying too hard... |

Inventive vegan eatery brings to mind a variation of the proverb as "May you eat in interesting restaurants." Interesting isn't always entirely success... |

If you aren't vegan, it's completely a hit or miss place. For example, the radical rueben is amazing, but the swedish meatballs are not... |

We loved the warm decor, romantic lighting, up-scale dinning, yet relaxed enough with a viewing of play-off football game, dressy casual of some dinners while others in suits, and dress slacks... |

My wife stated that her barbecued shrimp with bacon and cheese was excellent. The vegtables were excellent and mixed well with redpeppers, mushrooms, brocoli, and celery. My Broiled dolphin fish sandwich (catch of the day) was great with a side order of black bean soup as an excellent compliment to the meal. I was full but took a piece of key lime pie back to the motel for later GEA

I could kiss the owner of this restaurant for giving me a place to take my distant vegan and vegetarian friends when they're here visiting! I'm a lousy cook when it comes to tofu and Chicago Diner is the answer to my prayers! I had something along the lines of a quesadilla that they no longer prepare the same way, but I can usually have it altered to my preferences. All of my friends rave about it, even my carnivorous ones, and we're all going to get together and go again soon!

This place is awesome. I love meat and everything about it, but their food makes you want to become a vegan...well maybe not. It's A small and cozy place, but the staff is great. The price of the food is very reasonable. I have to say that the nachos are my favorite!

I was so excited when I found this restaurant. I had just decided to take the step from vegetarian to vegan and I felt like my eating options ha shrunk drastically. Then, while shopping in the Belmont and Clark area I found the diner and fell in love. I had some kind of tofu and noodle dish and cake for dessert. A wonderful cruelty free dinner!
