Lou's makes my favorite deep dish pie in town. Their crust is not too thick and weighty like other deep dish. It is thick enough and crispy with a nice buttery flavor. The sausage is flavorful and spicy enough. the tomatoes are great. Every time the in-laws are in, we a get a large buttercrust sausage. If you get delivery get the pie uncut. It stays hotter and keeps the crusty crispier.
This place is way overrated! If you go make sure its not during breakfast, lunch, or dinner or you will be waiting in line like its Woodstock. Its constantly over crowded. The food isn't bad, but a little over priced. I used to work there and everybody thinks its 'down home cookin,' when all of their food comes from cans.
