If you love great live music, this is the place to be on Friday nights. Otherwise, the food is just good, not great, and the service is slow as molasses. Mixed drinks are also just so-so. But this place does offer great atmosphere (outdoor patio) with a large fire pit for those chilly nights in Davis.

Although I've never come here for a full meal, I can comment on a few things. The drinks are a little overpriced, the service is slow, and the whole environment seems to be trying a little too hard. But the decor is nice, if not a little overdone, the outdoor patio is fabulous, and the sweet potato fries are definitely an appetizer worth coming back for.

This was a good place to take my parents when they came to town. Relative to other restaruants in Davis, Bistro 33 is classy and comfortable. We've been for lunch a couple of times and ordered a bunch of appetizers because they looked more interesting than the lunch dishes. The appetizers were interesting combos of food that looked pretty and mostly tasted great. My parents and I enjoyed sharing the food. I'd go back and share appetizers again (the first time my Dad opted for a salad and was really under-whelmed). The atmosphere is great and the service would be great (servers are nice enough) if they weren't so short staffed (slow).
