This is the best sushi in Davis. After many hit-and-miss experiences at other places around town, I'm really glad to have found a place the seems consistently good. The sashimi is fresh and the price is worth what you get. I've tried the hamachi, hirame, maguro and sake and loved them all. I wasn't so excited about their soft shell crab, it was a bit too greasy for me but I'm not a big fried foods person. The oyakodon will satisfy those with a donburi/warm and hearty foods craving. The place is small but cute. The staff is really nice and offered me tea or water while I waited for take-out. I'm not a fan of the sports channel playing on screens overhead the sushi bar but I'm sure there are some who might think this is a plus.
