I'm a big fan of La Pita Fresh. Because they really know what they're doing. Any of the fresh wraps are an awesome choice for a lunch. I particularly like the Chicken Shawarma. It's one of the best in Detroit! Their portions for Hummus are middle of the road. There are a few places in the WSU campus area that are a better deal.
If you're looking for take-out, I would suggest planning around lunch and dinner times. The register for take-out is also where they seat people. You could be waiting a while to even order, and then waiting more time for the food to get cooked.
If dining in, this advice also applies. The dining area isn't very large. A party of more than five people could have trouble getting seated during the busiest times of the day. Luckily, they have tables that can be pushed together, so a large party wouldn’t have to wait for that “one booth” that can seat five people or more.
Overall, this is an excellent choice for WSU students! Other places in the area charge more for a number of reasons. It seems like places on Warren avenue charge more. La Pita can keep their prices lower, and students reap the benefits! There’s no reason to compromise taste when it comes to Mediterranean. La Pita makes quality food that I’d recommend to anyone.
