I really enjoy eating Chicago deep dish pizza. I have found that Pizzapapalis is the best deep dish pizza in Detroit. This pizza is very filling and you will only eat a few pieces. This is also in greektown, and is a great place to go before a lions or tigers game. Simply a must try restaurant in Detroit.
We've ordered on a couple/few occasions and the food & service was great. I had a problem tonight. My husband is diabetic and has to eat within 30 minutes of taking his Glipizide. Salamones was busy and short-handed, which we didn't know at the time, plus we had severe storms. We were told the food would be here in 30-35 minutes. When it was over an hour, I was extremely angry. I took it out on Benny, the owner. My main concern was my husband. I talked to Benny and he was great. He understood my concerns and appreciated the call back after I'd yelled at him and hung up on him previously). Salamones is really good food at a reasonable price. (Under normal circumstamces. the delivery time is faster than most places.) I trust that Benny will make things right, as he said he would. The food tonight was cold and/or tough and we fed much of it to our dogs...but Benny cares about his customers. I truly believe that he will make things right. If so, the reviews and recommendations will only spiral upward for Salamones. Word of mouth is the best advertisement. I don't doubt Benny and Salamones.
